#1 Abstraction

The quality of dealing with ideas rather than events. / Freedom from representational qualities in art. / A state of preoccupation. / The process of considering something independently of its associations or attributes. / The process of removing something, especially water from a river or other source.

#2 Direction

A course along which someone or something moves. / The course which must be taken in order to reach a destination. / A point to or from which a person or thing moves or faces. / A general way in which someone or something is developing; a trend or tendency. / General aim or purpose.

#3 Connection

A relationship in which a person or thing is linked or associated with something else. / The action of linking one thing with another. / The placing of parts of an electric circuit in contact so that a current may flow. / An arrangement or opportunity for catching a connecting train, bus, aircraft, etc. / People with whom one has social or professional contact or to whom one is related, especially those with influence and able to offer one help.

#4 Relation

The way in which two or more people or things are connected. / A thing’s effect on or relevance to another. / The way in which two or more people or groups feel about and behave towards each other. / A person who is connected by blood or marriage; a relative. / The action of telling a story.

#5 Fraction

A numerical quantity that is not a whole number. / A small or tiny part, amount, or proportion of something.
